Players must begin by heading downstairs to Ethan’s office, located to the bottom right of the kitchen. The three tasks include completing Ethan’s Work, Setting the Table and Playing with Ethan’s kids. In order to obtain the Happy Birthday achievement players must complete the three tasks that fully set up for the birthday. The guide will also cover everything a player must do in order to ensure that they unlock an achievement as there are many achievements that require players to set them up with chapters that are previous to the chapter where the achievement is unlocked. These include all of the hidden achievements that are in the game.
The following guide will obviously have a great deal of spoilers and will take players through a step by step achievement list for everything they can acquire while playing Heavy Rain. In many cases a player will be required to play through the story a few times in order to collect all of the achievements, however, players should note that it does not matter what difficulty they set the game to, essentially meaning that players can grind this game in the easiest game mode in order to acquire all of the achievements with as little pressure as possible. Heavy Rain is considered to be a cult classic that comes with a variety of cut scenes that appear based on whether or not the player is successful at completing a solid play through a scene.
